Wellness Classes

Participants perform individually developed exercise programs in a gym setting. Exercise specialists screen vital signs, modify and update exercises, ensure correct form, and answer questions. Sessions are 45-60 minutes and are held at designated times throughout the week.

Chair Yoga

Tuesdays from 12:30 - 1:25 p.m. with Ruth Anne in the Mind/Body Studio.This class is designed to promote flexibility, balance and strength using a variety of poses and modalities. Enjoy a safe, yet rigorous workout while seated &/or holding on to the backs of their chairs. Chairs will be provided. Modifications for all exercises will be demonstrated.

Functional Chair Training

Fridays from 10:45 - 11:40 a.m. with Maria on the basketball court.This class will help to decrease chronic pain and other discomforts while improving general well being. Slow, gentle total body motions will increase your body awareness, help with flexibility and relaxation. Chairs will be provided. Modifications for all exercises will be demonstrated.

Strength for Life

A 60 minute weight training group fitness class especially geared for new exercisers and active older adults to help improve strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. Instructors are exercise specialists, certified through accredited organizations, and are AED- and CPR-certified through the American Heart Association.
