Enjoy a dynamic workout with our Total Resistance eXercise (TRX) small group training. You can take a TRX class free with your Healthplex Membership. Registration is required to attend the class.

What Is TRX Training?

Total Resistance eXercise (TRX) is a suspension system that uses gravity and your body weight to deliver an invigorating complete-body workout.

TRX exercises are based on seven simple movements (push, pull, plank, rotate, hinge, lunge, and squat) that can be adapted to your level of fitness and personal health goals. Because TRX is based on resistance training, we like to say your body becomes the exercise machine!

The Benefits of TRX Training

TRX is a total-body workout designed to help you burn fat, build strength, and improve your cardiovascular fitness. Other benefits of TRX include improved balance, flexibility, mobility, and joint stability.

The History of TRX Training

The TRX system was developed by Navy SEAL Commander Randy Hetrick in 1997 while he was on deployment. Commander Hetrick used a jiu jitsu belt and parachute webbing to create a simple full-body workout method people could use anywhere. Since then TRX training has been embraced by millions of people in more than 60 countries including professional athletes and the US Marine Corp.

Cardio Kick

Cardio Kick or “Cardio Kickboxing” is a fun, fast-paced exercise program that combines boxing, martial arts, and high-energy aerobics to give you an outstanding workout.

You can take a Cardio Kick class free with your Healthplex Membership. Registration is required to attend the class.

What Is Cardio Kick?

Our Cardio Kick instructors lead you through an exciting routine of punches, kicks, and blocks set to heart-pumping music. Cardio Kick is non-contact. All moves are made in the air or against pads.

Cardio Kick delivers an excellent cardiovascular workout that helps you burn calories, increase stamina and balance, and build lean muscle. Classes are fun and challenging and offer the competition and comradery of our small group training programs.
